Les offrandes balinaises, ou « canang sari », sont des offrandes quotidiennes déposées par les hindous balinais pour exprimer leur gratitude aux dieux et aux esprits, et pour maintenir l’équilibre spirituel et terrestre. Ces offrandes, composées de petits paniers tressés remplis de fleurs, de riz, d’encens et d’autres éléments symboliques, sont placées dans les temples, les maisons, les commerces et même sur les trottoirs.
Balinese offerings, or « canang sari », are daily offerings deposited by Balinese Hindus to express their gratitude to the gods and spirits, and to maintain spiritual and earthly balance. These offerings, composed of small braided baskets filled with flowers, rice, incense and other symbolic elements, are placed in temples, houses, shops and even on sidewalks.

C’est aussi un geste protecteur de la vie sur terre, voilà pourquoi, j’ai choisi une tourterelle et quelques enfants, en juxtaposition, avec ces symboles de traditions Hindouistes.
Offrir, c’est le mot important… Si tout le monde pouvait offrir un peu plus, et non pas prendre…

Oui, c’est une tradition omniprésente dans toute l’ile, ce perpétuant de générations en générations… tout comme les costumes et les coiffes pour se rendre au Temple des cérémonies.

Certainly, it becomes a banal gesture on a daily basis three times… morning, noon and evening.
It is also a protective gesture of life on earth, that’s why I chose a lovebird and some children, in juxtaposition, with these symbols of Hindu traditions.
